The deaths were found in two different places in Chesapeake, a community in the southeastern part of Virginia about 24 miles west of Virginia Beach.
Chesapeake Police were called to a home Wednesday afternoon to execute a welfare check. When they got there, they said they found a dead body. While investigating that scene, they were lead to a nearby home, where an armed person was locked inside.
Police said they negotiated with the suspect for several hours. The deadlocked confrontation ended late Wednesday night, with police entering the home. Once they got in, they found five additional bodies, which included the suspect.Investigators believe all of the victims(of whom are related)— were killed by the suspect prior to the arrival of police.
The victims have not yet been identified. The Investigation is ongoing.
